end of world nightmares
stares that see-through, candy mouth
ragamuffin boy
end of world nightmares
stares that see-through, candy mouth
ragamuffin boy
sloppy homework done
patch of concrete our canvas
sweaty sweet skin, dusk
Lover of my soul,
sweet day dreamer,
sing another lullaby and hem me in.
Lover of my soul,
sultry stares that linger,
blow another cloud of dust into the din.
Lover of my soul,
poison arrow fingers,
wrap me up in soft brown paper-
push me off and drop the anchor-
settle down
and with a frown
exhale a hymn.
My kid made a collage. Out of a vogue magazine. Not sure how I feel about this, but the composition is on point, right? Maybe I’ll hide it and give it back to him as a wedding present.
